“I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the sweet earth’s flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree. ”
– Joyce Kilmer (“Trees”, 1914)

Blogging

I’ve never been much of a blogger (or journal keeper before that), but I’m going to do my best to post at least once a month. ┬áSometimes it will be an update on my research (maybe even a graph or two), sometimes something a little more personal, maybe a quote, or a link to an article or video that might interest someone visiting this site.

Feel free to comment on, or contact me about, anything I post and I’ll try to pass on any additional information I have.
